I have been drawing as long as I can remember. As an architect, art and design were part of my formal training. I'm a geek in my day job, and design complex spaces like Radiopharmacies and Hybrid Operating Rooms. Art is my escape and excuse to explore the intersection of math, science, and poetry. I see art as a necessary balance to the rigors of the corporate world. I love traveling and track my memories in a sketchbook as opposed to my camera. I carry extra art supplies to give to kids as they gather round so they can participate in the fun and wonder. The repetition of pattern, fur and feathers in my work is a form of meditation and helps me disappear so I can cope with the chaos and unpredictability of life. 
I do my art on my houseboat in Sausalito and participate regularly in local shows with other artists of the floating homes community.
